How to fix the GBoost "no boost list" error.
Okay so this is not my first time with this issue in fact it is my third time, and on a third computer. I found out how to fix the issue by contacting James from GBoost over a year ago, and it has worked for me ever since. This fix is very simple, and you would wonder why the devs "never found" a way to fix the problems.
This tutorial has been tested on Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and Windows 8 Pro x64
Step 1. Open the file explorer, and navigate to C:\Users\YOUR-ACCOUNT\AppData\Local\LiveGBoost (Copy this location, change the "YOUR-ACCOUNT" to your own, and paste it into your file explorer's address bar.)
Step 2. Download this DownloadList.boost
, then place it inside of the LiveGBoost folder, and replace the old one.
Step 3. Launch the application and it should be able to run now. If you proceed to get the error then open the DownloadList.boost in a text editor, if it has the example code below inside of the file, then try replacing the file a few times. If that doesn't help you can get ignored by Stav who seems to answer almost all of support emails now.
Example code of error boost list file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
Stav, and the developers have known of this fix for over a year as far as I know of, and have not taken any action in fixing the problem.
Thank you for reading this tutorial I hope it helps, if not I will try to help. You may also be able to use my list of errors, and Fixes for Windows 8 problems
